Pro Kabaddi League Season 11: U Mumba has begun a 40-day intense training camp at the Wyndham Hotel and Club O7 in Ahmedabad with an aim to build a strong team for Pro Kabaddi League Season 11.
The camp will bring together all 21 players and blend young talent with seasoned experience in the squad. They will work under the expert guidance of Head Coach Gholamreza Mazandarani and Assistant Coach Anil Chaprana to ensure that they reach peak fitness and performance levels for the 2024-25 season.
Season 11 of the Pro Kabaddi League begins on October 18 in Hyderabad. Season 2 (2015) Champions U Mumba begin their campaign against Dabang Delhi, and the team aims to leave no stone unturned in their preparations, the training camp will strengthen their tactical understanding of superior defence, a strong bond between Sunil Kumar and Parvesh Bhainswal. U Mumba's main focus will be on Rinku's experience to exploit and counter the opposition raiders. At the camp, the coaches and support staff will also aim to build understanding and bonding amongst the players by ensuring cohesive teamwork to enhance the team's potential for PKL Season 11.
We are really happy with our work in the auction to build a balanced team of experienced title-winning players and extremely impressive young talent. I think we have lacked consistency with some of our experienced players over the last few years and with that addressed and the squad assembled, the real work begins in the pre-season camp. This phase is crucial, as the efforts put in here by the players, coaches and all support staff directly impact our performance in the league,” said CEO Suhail Chandok.
Coach Gholamreza Mazandarani said, “I am excited to work with this new team. We have strengthened the areas where we needed improvement. While last season started well, it did not end as we had hoped. I understand what we need to work on and our focus is on moving forward. I am happy with the training facilities and support staff. I am confident that we will give our best for a strong pre-season and a successful season ahead.”
