4 people coming from Rishikesh died in a truck-car accident on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway

Sawai Madhopur, 4 August (HS). Four people died on the spot in a road accident on Sunday morning on the Banas river bridge of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in the district. Five people including the car driver were badly injured. The police team that reached the spot sent the injured to the district hospital.

According to the police, the accident happened around 7 am on Sunday. The victims were returning home from Rishikesh in a car. Then a truck and a car collided on the Banas river bridge. Four people died on the spot in the accident. The deceased are said to be from Madhya Pradesh. The car was moving ahead. Then the truck coming from behind lost control and hit the car. Even after the accident, the truck driver dragged the car for about a kilometer. After this, the driver fled from the spot with the truck. Police is searching for the truck driver with the help of CCTV footage.

The accident was so severe that the car was completely shattered. The bodies of the people inside the car were badly stuck. The police had to struggle a lot to take the bodies out.

On receiving the information about the accident, the police of Surwal and Baunli police station reached the spot. Meanwhile, CO City Hemendra Sharma reached the spot and gathered information about the accident. The police sent all the injured to the district hospital with the help of an ambulance. Meanwhile, the traffic was restored by removing the damaged vehicles with the help of a crane. At present, the police is engaged in finding out the reasons of the accident.
