4 killed, many missing in blast in Ankleshwar company

Ankleshwar, 03 December (HS). Four workers died in the blast that took place at Detox India Company of Ankleshwar GIDC on Monday. Four other workers were injured. 10-12 employees of the company are still missing. In the accident, the body of a worker was found outside the company. It was told that after the blast, the body of the worker had jumped out of the company. After the accident, the employees demonstrated accusing the company management of negligence.

According to the police, the names of the deceased are Poleshram (33), Mukesh Singh (33), Harinath Yadav and Ashok Ramakrishna. After the incident, the fire brigade, local police and administration and politicians arrived. MLA Chaitan Vasava has accused the company operator of negligence. He said that the company management was not aware of the incident. The management did not give any information to the workers’ families for four-five hours after the incident. He alleged that the accident occurred due to negligence of safety measures. He has demanded from the company to provide assistance of Rs 1 crore each to the families of all the deceased.

On the other hand, Dharmendra Chautala, General Manager of Detox India Company, said that his company has the contract of Panchamurti Fabricator. He had given a permit for the work of installing handrailing on one of their 75 KL feed tanks. This work was going on. On Monday, around 12.40 pm, after hearing the sound of an explosion, we all reached there immediately. Here the roof i.e. descent of the tank was lying 15 to 20 feet away. The dead bodies of two workers were also lying there. Later the body of another person was found behind the tank. A dead body was found outside a boundary. That means bodies of a total of four people have been found. The company will provide financial assistance to the families of all the deceased. Company workers said that after the blast in Detox Company, the whereabouts of 10 to 12 people are still unknown.
