Salary of UP government employees: After the announcement of four percent increase in dearness allowance of central employees, the Yogi Adityanath government of UP is also preparing to soon issue orders to pay dearness allowance at the increased rate to lakhs of its employees. The file related to this will be prepared on Monday.
After getting the approval of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the order for cash payment of salary for the month of March and increased DA along with payment in April is expected to be issued. Employees will get the benefit of this increase from January 2024. There will be an additional burden of about Rs 314 crore on the government treasury every month.
Dearness relief of 12 lakh pensioners will also increase
If the state government announces the increased rate of dearness allowance, then the salary of about 10 lakh state employees and eight lakh teachers will increase. There will also be an increase of four percent in the dearness relief of 12 lakh pensioners.
