Kishanganj, 12 July (HS). An amount of Rs. 4 lakh 81 thousand has been withdrawn in the name of repairing the dilapidated building of a school in Thakurganj block of the district. This allegation is being made by the head teacher of the school along with the students there. Even now the teachers are facing a lot of problems in teaching and the students are facing difficulties in studying in the dilapidated building.

Due to the dilapidated condition of the building, water keeps dripping from the roof during the rainy season. Due to which the books and bags of the children coming to study also get wet. The water dripping at the place where the children sit is also affecting their health a lot. But the education department does not seem to pay any attention to this. Due to which there is a lot of anger among the school children, teachers and parents.

The school's head teacher Haroon Rasheed said that in the month of May, the contractor just painted the buildings in the name of school repair and fled. Even now the condition of the school buildings is very dilapidated. There are cracks in the roofs. Due to this, the roof starts leaking as soon as it rains. Children have to be taught in the outer room.

He was asked under which scheme the repair work was done. He showed the board placed towards the north of the school. The board shows that under the Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana, the amount of Rs. 4 lakh 81 thousand has been sanctioned for the repair work of the upgraded secondary school Kadogaon. He told that the work was given to a contractor named Osama Reza by the Executive Engineer, Building Division, Kishanganj. But no repair work has been done in this school. Only painting has been done.
