Bijnor, March 23 (HS). The bugle of Lok Sabha elections has been sounded. ASP chief Chandrashekhar has filed nomination from Nagina Lok Sabha seat in western UP. Along with this he also submitted an affidavit. Chandrashekhar has 38 criminal cases registered against him. In the declaration form given at the time of nomination, Chandrashekhar has mentioned 18 thousand cash and bank balance of Rs 1 lakh, 93 thousand 487.
Azad Samaj Party chief Chandrashekhar Azad, who contested the Lok Sabha elections from Nagina in Uttar Pradesh, has 38 criminal cases registered against him. There are millionaires in terms of property and amount deposited in bank accounts. On the other hand, SP candidate Manoj Kumar has been Additional District Judge, who has many properties including a car and a flat in Lucknow. He has declared gross assets of Rs 88 lakh 30282 and annual income of Rs 21 lakh 59 thousand 33.
ASP candidate Chandrashekhar and SP candidate Manoj Kumar filed nomination papers on Friday. Affidavits were also submitted along with it. In the affidavit, Chandrashekhar has informed that he is originally a resident of Chhutmalpur, Behat Saharanpur. Who took LLB degree from Garhwal University in the year 2012.
In the affidavit submitted along with the nomination papers, 0.205 hectares of land has been mentioned in the immovable property. He himself has fifty grams of gold and his wife has 400 grams of gold jewellery. Apart from this, there is Rs 18 thousand in cash in hand and Rs 1 lakh 93 thousand deposited in the bank account.
At the same time, wife Vandana has Rs 15 thousand in cash and about Rs 4 lakh thirty thousand in bank accounts. A total of 38 criminal cases are registered against Chandrashekhar. Of these, 26 cases are registered in Saharanpur, two in Ghaziabad, four in Delhi, a total of six cases are registered in Muzaffarnagar, Lucknow, Hathras, Aligarh and Nagina.
SP candidate from Nagina, Manoj Kumar has been Additional District Judge, who has now shown his profession as advocacy. Manoj Kumar took BALLB degree from Banaras Hindu University in the year 2001.
Manoj Kumar has stated in the affidavit that he has 0.699 hectare agricultural land in Nagina, which is worth Rs 31 lakh. He and his wife Shaila have two separate flats in Lucknow, the price of which is said to be around Rs 55 lakh each. Apart from this, it is mentioned that cash in hand is Rs 15 thousand while wife has cash of Rs 2 lakh 75 thousand.
