37th convocation ceremony of Indira Gandhi National Open University held


Saharsa, 20 February (Hindustan Reporter). The 37th convocation ceremony of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) was held in the auditorium on Tuesday, in which the live telecast of the program from IGNOU headquarters was watched through Gyan Darshan. The chief guest of the event at the headquarters was Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, who in his convocation address encouraged the degree recipients to always move ahead in life. Also, the Vice President of the University, Prof. Nageswara Rao and the chief guest, Vice President of India, honored the first gold medalist. degree was awarded. Along with this, the convocation ceremony of the regional center was concluded in the auditorium.

Special guests of the program, Dr. Farooq Ali, former Vice Chancellor of Jaiprakash University, Chapra and Director of IGNOU Regional Center were present wearing academic attire. 311 participants attended the program. The function of Kshatriya Center was started with the lighting of the lamp. On this occasion, the guests were welcomed by Dinesh Kumar Rao, Personal Assistant of IGNOU Regional Centre. Regional Director Dr. Nihal Mirza Ahmed Baig welcomed all the honored guests and participants.

He informed that a total of 3085 84 learners are eligible to get degrees in this convocation, in which 5993 participants were eligible to get degrees in 62 programs conducted by the regional center Saharsa. Around 300 learners have been awarded degrees today. IGNOU Regional Center started in 2011 with eight districts and with continuous growth, around 28000 learners are enrolled in the year 2023. Due to which, IGNOU has got the 15th position among the leading regional centers in the country. Is. Special guest, former Vice Chancellor Prof. Farooq Ali, in his convocation address congratulated the students who received degrees.
