Ranchi, 24 July (HS). The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday raided the hideouts of Naxal commander Ravindra Ganjhu, who has a reward of Rs 15 lakh on his head. This raid was conducted at the hideouts of Jitendra Nath Pandey and Rohit Yadav in McCluskieganj. Sources said that in this raid, the NIA team recovered Rs 36 lakh 30 thousand from Rohit Yadav's residence in McCluskieganj. The NIA team has also seized the mobile phones of Jitendra Nath Pandey and Rohit Yadav. The NIA has taken this action during the investigation of the terror funding case.
The NIA team stayed for about seven hours at the house of Jitendra Nath Pandey of McCluskieganj and brick kiln businessman Rohit Yadav and his chimney kiln located in Nindra of Chandwa police station area. The NIA had received information that these businessmen invest the levy and extortion money of notorious Naxalite Ravindra Ganjhu and pass on the benefits to Ravindra Ganjhu. It was also reported that both the businessmen are in contact with Ravindra Ganjhu.
On the other hand, businessman Rohit Yadav said that all the money is from business. He has the account of every penny. He also gave the account of the money to NIA, yet the investigation agency confiscated all the money. Whereas Jitendranath Pandey says that he has no connection with any Naxalite or criminal. The investigation team has not found any objectionable item from his house.
