New Delhi. The Central Government has approved the extension of the metro corridor from Gurgaon Sector 56 Rapid Metro Station to Panchgaon. The project was flagged off in a meeting between Haryana Chief Minister Naib Saini and Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal. Haryana government will bear the expense of this project. This extended route of Rapid Metro will provide direct connectivity from Panchgaon and Manesar to Gurugram and New Delhi. The corridor will start from Sikandarpur and reach Sector 56 via Cyber Hub and Golf Cars Road. There will be an interchange for the Yellow Line at Sikandarpur on this route.
Union Minister Manohar Lal wrote in the X Post, “Chaired a review meeting with Haryana Chief Minister @NayabSainiBJP ji and senior officials to discuss projects under Gurugram Metro Rail Limited and HMRTC. “Expedition of major metro and RRTS projects including Delhi-Dharuhera, Delhi-Panipat and Panipat-Karnal corridors as well as expansion of Gurugram Rapid Metro was also discussed in the meeting.”
Approval within 15 days of receipt of DPR
Union Minister Khattar said that the project of Panchgaon-Sector 56 metro corridor will be approved within 15 days of receiving the DPR. He said that there is currently no metro connectivity between Gurugram and Faridabad. The possibility of connecting both the cities through RRTS route is being explored. A proposal will be prepared to start RRTS from Sarai Kalekhan to Dharuhera up to Bawal and Shahjahanpur in Rajasthan.

Similarly, expansion of RRTS from Bahadurgarh to Asoda metro line, Ballabhgarh to Palwal, Gurugram's Sector-9 to Badhsa AIIMS and Delhi's Dhansa to Badhsa AIIMS, Sarai Kale Khan to Karnal via Panipat will also be considered. Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the feasibility of metro rail line between Gurugram and Faridabad was not being made, hence now consideration will be given to implementing RRTS here. He said that a study will be done to lay a line from Delhi's Palam Airport to Jewar Airport via Gurugram, Faridabad.
