The case was heard in Ajmer's special court POCSO Court No. 2 in the presence of the accused, in which six out of seven accused were sentenced to life imprisonment. Along with this, a fine of Rs 5 lakh each has also been imposed on the accused.

Chargesheet was filed against six accused in 2021

Earlier, the hearing was held on Tuesday, in which all the accused were convicted. The accused include Nafees Chishti, Naseem alias Tarzan, Salim Chishti, Iqbal Bhati, Sohil Ghani, Syed Zameer Hussain. The charge sheet was filed against these six accused on 23 June-2021. Then the hearing was completed in the trial court in July-2024.

More than 100 college girls were molested

In fact, in 1992, there was an uproar in the whole country after more than 100 college girls were raped and their nude pictures went viral. In this incident, the police had accused 18 people, out of which the trial of nine accused was completed and one person committed suicide. While one accused is still absconding, the court has declared him a fugitive.
