32 KM long route from Akshardham to Baghpat on Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is ready, know when it will be inaugurated.

New Expressway: Two sections of Delhi-Dehradun Expressway are ready for inauguration. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate it. For this, time has been sought from the Prime Minister’s Office. The expressway is likely to be inaugurated before the announcement of Delhi Assembly elections. In such a situation, inauguration is expected in the last week of December or the first week of January.

Both parts of the expressway are 32 kilometers long. 17 kilometers of the Delhi portion has been made elevated. The remaining 15 km portion is in the border of Ghaziabad and Baghpat. The expressway work has been divided into two parts. The expressway is connected to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway at Mavikala village near Baghpat. Both parts of the expressway have been completed.

NHAI has completed all preparations for the inauguration. Recently, heavy vehicles were driven on the expressway. In this way the load was checked. No flaw was found in it. Safety audit has also been completed. The expressway has met the safety standards. Other investigations have also been completed.

Ready from Akshardham to Baghpat: The expressway is from Akshardham to Laxminagar, Geeta Colony, Lohe Ka Pul (Kailash Colony), Shastri Park New Osmanpur, Kartarnagar, Khajuri Khas Chowk, Biharipur, Ankur Vihar, Sharda City, Pavi Pushta (Loni). Mandola NBCC Township to Bapgat K (Mavikala). The expressway has been connected to the Eastern Peripheral in Baghpat. Eastern Peripheral is already connected to Delhi-Meerut Expressway.

NHAI Chairman has inspected: NHAI Chairman Santosh Yadav had recently inspected the expressway. He had instructed the officials to put up sign boards at many places. All these works have to be done before the inauguration. All these works will be completed in ten days. This project was to be completed in the year 2023, but the work on both the sections of the expressway got delayed. Earlier it was claimed that the work would be completed on March 31. After this the dates of 15th May and 15th August were fixed.

Preparation for inauguration by the Prime Minister

Sources said that the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will also be accompanying him. The date of inauguration is to be decided by the PMO. The expressway is to be inaugurated before the announcement of Delhi Assembly elections.

NHAI project director Dheeraj Singh said, “Two sections of Delhi-Dehradun Expressway are ready for inauguration. The inauguration is expected in the last week of December or the first week of January before the announcement of Delhi Assembly elections. All inspections of the expressway have been completed. No flaw has been found anywhere.”
