Ghaziabad, June 16 (HS). The Union Public Service Commission's Civil Services Pre Exam-2024 was completed in two shifts on Sunday. The first shift exam was held from 09.30 am to 11.30 am and the second from 02.30 pm to 4.30 pm. 30,239 candidates appeared in this examination at various centers in Ghaziabad district while 15,841 were absent.
A total of 50 examination centres were selected for the examination, which included 03 government, 17 non-government aided and 30 self-declared schools. To ensure smooth conduct of the examination, 03 observers, 09 zonal magistrates, 18 sector magistrates, one LIO at each centre and 50 officers were deployed. For security purposes, one sub-inspector, two head constables and two women constables have been deployed at each centre who carried out the work of fixing.
For the examination, a district control room was set up in the office of the District Basic Education Officer, Ghaziabad. In view of the scorching heat, a total of 18 ambulances and medical teams were arranged. Out of a total of 23040 students, 15172 were present in the first shift at all the centres and 7868 were absent.
Observer Selva Kumari J. inspected Nagar Palika Balika Inter College (Block-A), Nagar Palika Balika Inter College (Block-B), Seth Mukundlal (VK) Inter College and Poorna Gyanajali International College in the second shift. Along with this, Observer Ranjan Kumar, Secretary, Medical Health and Family Welfare Government of UP and Sanjay Kumar Khatri, ACEO, Noida also inspected. With the cooperation of observers, zonal magistrates and officers and employees of other departments, the examination was conducted in a fair and cheating-free manner.
