Peshawar, July 29 (HS). At least 30 people were killed and 145 others injured in an armed clash over land between two tribal groups in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Kurram district bordering Afghanistan, officials said on Sunday.
Officials said fierce clashes broke out five days ago in Boshera village in Upper Kurram district, which has previously witnessed deadly clashes between tribes and religious groups as well as communal clashes and terror attacks.
Police said that 30 people were killed and 145 others were injured in tribal conflict in the last five days in Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa bordering Afghanistan. Police said that with the help of tribal elders, military leadership, police and district administration, the authorities have recently reached an agreement between Shia and Sunni tribes in Boshera, Malikel and Dandar areas. However, firing is still going on in some other parts of the district. At the same time, an official said that efforts are being made to ceasefire in the remaining areas as well.
