Mumbai: A car of Dombivli residents returning home from Pune for Devdarshan overturned after breaking the railing on the roadside. In this accident, three members of the same family died and nine people including three children were injured.
The Barve family of Dombivali had gone to Pune for Devdarshan. The incident occurred on the outskirts of Kumbhivali village on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway while returning from Devdarshan around 3 pm on Tuesday afternoon. When the car driver lost control of the car, the car overturned breaking the roadside railing and a terrible accident occurred.
The accident was so horrific that Manisha Barve (age 40) died on the spot. While Sonali Bav (age 35), Dinesh Barve (age 21) were seriously injured. He was immediately sent to the hospital. However, upon reaching the hospital, both were declared dead during medical examination.
As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and with the help of the local people, all the people were taken out of the car.
Three children are also among those injured in this accident.
