Due to the washing away of the Chachhari bridge built on the Bagmati river, lakhs of people have lost contact with the block and district headquarters. The bamboo bridge has been washed away due to the rising water level of the Bagmati river at the Atrat Ghat of Aurai block of the district. The water level of the river is rising rapidly. People are coming and going on both sides of the bridge. Meanwhile, the bridge suddenly starts flowing, after which the people going on the bridge somehow saved their lives. Due to the Chachhari bridge, lakhs of people of Aurai block including Antar, Amanour, Sarchia, Deh Jeevar, Sahilballi, Paramjivar, Maheshwara Panchayat have lost contact with the block headquarters. Now people will have to cover a distance of 30 kilometers to reach the block headquarters.
