Islamabad, March 04 (HS). The death toll from torrential rains and snowfall in various parts of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province reached 27 on Sunday. These also include 18 children. Dawn newspaper has given this information in its report quoting officials of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority.
Apart from this, at least 38 people, including 20 children, were injured due to rain and snowfall in the last two days, officials said. Meanwhile, major roads remained closed in Gilgit-Baltistan. Because of this thousands of people remained stranded on the roads. Electricity, water supply and communication services were severely affected in many areas. On the other hand, Quetta and other parts of Balochistan remained in the grip of cold. The temperature dropped below zero.
