Chad Bowes Records: New Zealand's Chad Jason Bowes has created history in the sixth match of the one-day tournament Fort Trophy. The world record for scoring the fastest double century in cricket is in the name of Chad List. Canterbury batsman Chad Bowes opened against Otogo and played a brilliant innings. By scoring a double century, he has broken the records of Australia's Travis Head and India's Narayan Jagadeesan.

200 runs on 103 balls

On 23 October, New Zealand batsman Chad Bowes List scored the fastest century ever in ODI cricket. Canterbury Kings opener Chad Hagel broke the previous record by 11 balls by scoring 200 off just 103 balls against Otago Vaults in front of a small crowd at the Oval.

Records of Australian and Indian players broken

Chad Bowes has broken the record of Australia and Sunrisers Hyderabad's best batsman Travis Head. Travis had earlier scored the fastest double century in List-A for South Australia in 114 balls. Chennai Super Kings and Tamil Nadu bowler Narayan Jagadeesan also scored 200 runs off 114 balls against Arunachal Pradesh in the 2022 Vijay Hazare Trophy match.

Chad Bowes scored 205 runs in 110 balls in the match, which included 27 fours and 7 sixes. With the help of his double century, the team was successful in making a big score. Apart from Chad Baus, Zachary Foulkes played an inning of 49 runs in the match. Canterbury team scored 343 runs in stipulated 50 overs.

Talking about Bowes's cricket career, he has played 6 ODI and 11 T20 matches for New Zealand so far. He also became the second player in history to score a double century in the Ford Trophy. Former Black Caps bowler Jamie Howe (222 in the 2012–13 season) was the only player to do so.
