New Delhi: The Customs department has seized 26 newly launched iPhone 16 Pro Max devices from a female passenger at Delhi International Airport.
According to the statement issued by the Customs Department, the woman had come to Delhi from Hong Kong. This woman was about 30 years old.
According to the Customs Department, during the investigation, 26 iPhone 16 Pro Max hidden in tissue paper were found in the woman's bag.
According to sources, the woman has not been arrested. It is being investigated whether this incident is isolated or part of a syndicate involved in smuggling of electronic goods.
According to a statement issued by the Customs Department, the iPhones have been seized under Section 110 of the Customs Act, 1962. Further investigation of the case is ongoing.
According to the Customs Department, the total tariff value of the seized 26 iPhones has been estimated at Rs 30,66,328.
It is worth noting that iPhone 16 Pro Max is Apple's latest phone. Which was launched last month. The total market value of the 26 seized iPhones has been estimated at Rs 37 lakh.
