24 new bikes seized in Palamu, fear of being used in elections

Palamu, 26 October (Hindustan Reporter). In view of the Jharkhand Assembly elections, State Tax Officer Ankesh Alankar has seized 24 new motorcycles of Hero Company from Lesliganj police station area on Panki-Medininagar main road on Friday night. There is a possibility of using these motorcycles in the assembly elections.

Superintendent of Police Rishma Ramesan said on Saturday that the State Tax Officer informed her that a red colored Tata 112 truck which was going from Daltonganj towards Leslieganj, was loaded with 24 new motorcycles of Hero Company. Tata 112 truck (LPT JH03F 3340) was stopped and searched and found loaded with 24 new motorcycles of Hero company. The driver of the vehicle did not present any valid documents, after which the 112 LPT vehicle was seized and kept in Lesliganj police station.

Medininagar Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer Sulochana Meena reached the spot and conducted investigation. He said that the bill was not shown immediately at the time of investigation. The bill is presented 40 minutes after Caesar, which becomes a big deal. Due to assembly elections, investigation is going on whether any political party was planning to misuse these bikes.
