24 first class veterinary hospitals upgraded to multipurpose veterinary hospitals

Jaipur, 2 December (Hindustan Reporter). In compliance with the budget announcement for the financial year 2024-25, the state government has issued an order and given administrative and financial approval to upgrade 24 first class veterinary hospitals to multipurpose veterinary hospitals.

Animal Husbandry and Cow Husbandry Minister Zoraram Kumawat said that under the sensitive guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the efficient leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the aim of the state government is to ensure economic upliftment of cattle rearers and welfare of animals. Veterinary service is an important step towards the welfare of animals. That is why the state government is continuously making efforts to expand veterinary services in the state. Under this, taking important decisions in compliance with the budget announcement, orders have been issued for the upgradation of 24 first class veterinary hospitals. He said that the government will leave no stone unturned in strengthening the veterinary infrastructure in the state.

Kumawat said that in these multipurpose veterinary hospitals, specialist doctors of surgery, gynecology and medicine will be available to the animal farmers under one roof. Apart from this, various types of tests like X-ray, sonography, other testing facilities and surgical facilities will also be available in these hospitals. For this, cattle farmers will not have to go here and there and they will be able to provide better medical services to their animals under one roof. Besides, there will be facility in getting quick benefits of departmental schemes. This will not only save time and labor of the cattle farmers but will also benefit them financially. He informed that five first class veterinary hospitals of Jaipur, four of Pali, three of Barmer, two each of Ajmer and Jalore and one each of Dausa, Chittor, Nagaur, Kuchaman City, Karauli, Sirohi, Tonk and Rajsamand have been converted into multipurpose veterinary hospitals. Hospitals have been upgraded. This will strengthen the veterinary infrastructure in these areas.

He said that along with this, approval has also been issued for creation of new posts in all these multipurpose veterinary hospitals. One lakh rupees each has also been immediately approved for the necessary equipment and furniture for all the upgraded 24 first class veterinary hospitals. Recently, the government had taken a decision to upgrade 19 veterinary hospitals to first class hospitals and 98 veterinary sub-centres to veterinary hospitals.
