Jaipur: Hridayansh got a new life with an injection of Rs 17.50 crore, he was suffering from this deadly disease.

According to doctors, Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) is a genetic neuromuscular disorder. A malfunction in an essential gene causes the body to be unable to make enough SMN1 protein. This protein is essential for maintaining healthy muscles and their function for nerve cells. Due to deficiency of SMN1 protein, muscles gradually become weak, making it difficult to perform physical activities.

Dr. Priyanshu Mathur says that Haridansh has been vaccinated and he will be kept under medical observation for the next 24 hours. Basically spinal muscular atrophy is a genetic disease. Due to this, the part of the heart below the waist does not function at all. With time, many changes start taking place in the body and there is a risk of death due to this disease. This disease is treated only till the age of 24 months. Haridansh's father Naresh Sharma works as a sub-inspector in Rajasthan Police and when Haridansh started suffering, the family consulted doctors from Jaipur and Delhi and other places.

To pay the cost of this vaccine, it is necessary to raise money through crowdfunding or government assistance. Doctors say that if this disease is not treated within 24 months, then this disease will gradually spread throughout the body and the lungs will also stop functioning. This could have increased the danger to his life, now in this regard the Brahmin community has also started a crowd funding campaign to collect money for the vaccination of the child. Various organizations also came forward to help, hence this amount was collected.
