23.66 percent voting till 11 am in the fifth phase |Live Updates,Unveiling the Latest India News Trends


New Delhi, May 20 (Hindustan Reporter) In the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections, voting is going on on 49 seats in eight states and union territories on Monday. On an average, 23.66 percent voting took place till 11 am. In this, the highest turnout of 32.70 percent took place in West Bengal.

According to the Election Commission, 21.11 percent voting took place in Bihar, 21.37 percent in Jammu and Kashmir, 26.18 percent in Jharkhand, 27.87 percent in Ladakh, 15.93 in Maharashtra, 21.07 in Odisha, 27.76 percent in Uttar Pradesh and 32.70 percent in West Bengal. This phase includes 14 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 13 in Maharashtra, seven in West Bengal, five in Odisha, five in Bihar, three in Jharkhand, one in Jammu and Kashmir, one in Ladakh.

Today voting is also taking place for 35 assembly seats of Odisha Assembly. The Election Commission said that till 11 am, a total of 21.07 percent voting took place in Odisha.
