22-year-old gets death sentence in Pakistan for inappropriate remarks against Mohammad Sahab: 17-year-old sentenced to life in jail

Chandigarh: A court in Pakistan's Punjab province has sentenced a 22-year-old man to death for making inappropriate remarks against Prophet Muhammad. Whereas a 17-year-old youth has been sentenced to life imprisonment instead of the death penalty, regardless of his age.

Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) filed this complaint in a Lahore court through its cyber crime charge sheet for unfair criticism of youth and youth on cyber in 2022. The allegation was that the cyber crime agency had seized videos and photographs criticizing Mohammad Saheb from 3 different mobile phones. Besides, phone numbers have also been confiscated.

In this case, the lawyer of those youths said that those youths have been implicated by making false allegations. In fact, he did not make any criticism that could be called obscene.

Giving this information, BBC said that the father of these youth has decided to appeal in Lahore High Court.

Analysts of this incident say that it is morally inappropriate to criticize any religion or the leaders of that religion. There may also be punishment. But whether it is death penalty or life imprisonment, this is shocking. The maximum punishment can be five-seven years, but death penalty or life imprisonment only reflects the medieval man. Even in the 21st century, many countries, including Pakistan, seem to be living in the Middle Ages—especially the High Middle Ages. Pioneer-1 and Pioneer-2 are sailing on an infinite world journey. Still he is living in the 7th century.
