21 gram panchayats of the district became TB free, honored at the district level | News India

Chittorgarh, 23 September (HS). 21 Gram Panchayats of Chittorgarh district have become free from TB. On the instructions of the state government and senior officials of the medical department, a district level felicitation ceremony of TB free Panchayat Abhiyan was organized in a private hotel of the city on Monday. In the program, District Collector Alok Ranjan honored the representatives of 21 Panchayats of the district who did remarkable work in the field of TB eradication.

Information about the National Tuberculosis Eradication Program and TB Free Panchayat Campaign was given in the program. This campaign includes creating awareness among people about TB disease, early treatment of TB patients, promoting TB detection and helping TB patients and families. This special campaign is being run by the government to achieve the target by the year 2025 under the Rajasthan National Tuberculosis Eradication Program. Both community and political participation are very important for tuberculosis eradication. Apart from this, many awareness activities and programs are being run at the Panchayat level to increase people's participation. On this occasion, CMHO Dr. Tarachand Gupta, DTO Rakesh Bhatnagar, Joint Director Prakash Sharma, Sarpanchs of various Gram Panchayats, Secretaries and other officials were present. Sarpanchs from all TB-free Gram Panchayats were honored.
