Ladakh, May 20 (Hindustan Reporter) Voters are coming out in large numbers to cast their votes in Ladakh parliamentary constituency. Till 11 am, 21.87 percent votes were cast.
Tashi Gyalson from BJP, Tsering Namgyal from Congress and an independent candidate Haji Hanifa Jan are contesting in Ladakh. The India Bloc alliance had handed over the Ladakh seat to the Congress but internal rebellion has weakened the agreement. BJP had won this seat in 2014 and 2019. In 2014, BJP candidate Thupstan Chhewang had won. In 2019, BJP candidate Jamyang Tsering Namgyal won among four candidates, including Rigzin Spalbar of Congress and independents Sajjad Kargili and Haji Asghar Ali Karbalai from Kargil.
