Jammu and Kashmir elections: Political activities have intensified in Jammu and Kashmir regarding the assembly elections. Meanwhile, People's Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti has announced the election manifesto in Srinagar. She said, 'We want reconciliation and dialogue. We want the path to Sharda Peeth temple in POJK to be opened so that Kashmiri Pandits can go there.' Apart from this, she also announced to provide free electricity to temples, mosques and dargahs in Jammu and Kashmir.

What did PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti announce?

PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti said, 'We will give free electricity up to 200 units, we want to abolish tax on water, there should be no meters for water. For the poor who have 1 to 6 people in their house, we want to re-implement the Mufti Mohammad Sayeed scheme. We will give 12 cylinders a year to the poor and will also double the old age pension and widow pension.'

'Kashmir issue is alive'

Mehbooba Mufti said, 'Article 370 was the bridge between Jammu and Kashmir and the rest of the country, but that bridge is now gone. The BJP government has put the separatists in jail. They should remember that their own leaders Atal Bihari Vajpayee and LK Advani had met Yasin Malik, Shabbir Shah and Mirwaiz Farooq. Sending them to jail is not a solution, the Kashmir issue is still alive, otherwise Engineer Rashid would not have won.'
