200 flights affected due to dense fog in North India, visibility zero

Winter cold, misty mornings and dense fog have engulfed entire North India including Delhi. Due to which normal life is being affected. Visibility is very low due to fog, affecting air and rail operations. Visibility became zero at Delhi’s IGI Airport on Saturday morning. Due to which more than 150 flights were delayed.

Airlines have issued an advisory

Due to dense fog, many airline companies have issued special notices for the convenience of passengers and requested people to check the status of their flights before reaching the airport. Airlines including IndiGo and Air India have issued advisories for passengers, stating that flight operations are being affected due to low visibility in Delhi and parts of North India due to dense fog.

Airport officials say flight operations at the airport have been affected due to dense fog. Officials said passengers are requested to contact the concerned airline for flight information and only then proceed to the airport.

Fog put brakes on speed

Due to dense bushes, the speed of vehicles on the roads in the capital Delhi and North India has also been limited. The fog is so severe that we have to walk with lights on even during the day. However, despite switching on the lights, one cannot see very far. In fact fog makes driving difficult.

Trains are running late due to fog

Due to fog, more than a dozen trains coming to Delhi are running late. Due to which people are facing problems. On Saturday, Varanasi-Delhi Van Bharat was delayed by more than three hours, while Shramshakti Express was delayed by about five hours. Similarly, many trains coming from North India are running late.
