2 buses fell into the river after landslide in Nepal, 63 passengers missing


A major tragedy has occurred in neighboring country Nepal. Two buses got stuck in the river after a landslide. Many passengers are reported missing in this accident. Two buses fell into the Trishuli river due to a landslide on the Madan Ashrit Highway in central Nepal. It is being told that there were a total of 63 passengers in both the buses. Which are now missing. Rescue operations have been started to search for the missing people in this incident that happened at 3:30 in the morning. But due to heavy rains, there are a lot of difficulties. Even after so many hours, the missing passengers have not been found.

Sudden landslide due to continuous heavy rain
According to Nepal's Road Division Office, a sudden landslide occurred on the Madan Ashrit Highway at 3.30 am on Friday due to continuous heavy rains. Two buses were passing through there when the landslide occurred. Both the buses got buried in the debris and fell directly into the Trishuli River. The rivers were in spate due to rain water. The buses are stuck due to the fast flow of water.

Chitwan Chief District Officer Indradev Yadav confirmed the incident, Buses were going from Kathmandu to Rautahat He told that both the buses were going from Rathmandu to Rauhatta. One bus was Angel and the other was Ganapati Deluxe. It is being told that there were 24 people in one bus and 41 in the other. Out of which 63 people were swept away along with the buses. At present, no trace of them has been found.

Three people jumped off the bus
According to Yadav, three passengers proved lucky who were able to save their lives by jumping from the bus at the time of the incident. All three passengers said that they were in the Ganpati Deluxe bus. These three passengers informed the police about the incident. Then the rescue team left for the spot.

Rescue operation started immediately
Yadav said that as soon as the information about the incident was received, a rescue operation was started in search of the buses. But it is still raining heavily in the area. Due to which the rescue work is getting hampered. Due to heavy rains, the Trishuli river is also at the danger mark. Due to this, there is also a problem in the rescue operation. He said that we are present on the spot with the team. Nepal Police and Armed Police Force personnel are involved in the rescue operation.

Nepal's Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has deployed all government agencies for rescue operations
And expressed grief over this tragedy. He ordered all government agencies to search for the missing passengers and conduct effective rescue operations. Dahal said that he is deeply saddened by the death of about 5 dozen passengers due to the washing away of a bus due to a landslide on the Narayangarh-Muglin road section and the loss of property due to floods and landslides in various parts of the country. I direct all agencies of the government, including the Home Administration, to search for the passengers and rescue them effectively.
