Mumbai: The Railway Vigilance Squad raided a coach of the Bandra-Jammu Tawi Vivek Express and arrested two persons who were smuggling liquor and seized 260 bottles of liquor worth Rs 260 crore.

Based on information that liquor is smuggled from Mumbai through trains and is mostly transported to cities in Gujarat, the vigilance team raided the S-3 coach and caught two smugglers. During interrogation, he told that he was going to deliver this liquor to a hotel in Surat. Due to prohibition in Gujarat, a large amount of liquor is smuggled from Mumbai. Smuggling takes place through road and rail.
