Conspiracy to overturn train in UP: An alleged conspiracy to overturn a train has been exposed in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh. The police have arrested two accused in the case. However, a few days ago, an electric pole was found placed on the railway track here. The driver stopped the train by applying emergency brakes. It was a matter of relief that no accident occurred. After this, the police started searching for the accused.

On the other hand, GRP Rampur and local police disclosed the incident and said that two youths Sunny alias Sandeep Chauhan and Bijendra alias Tinku, residents of Bilaspur, have been arrested. Both are drug addicts and in a drunken state tried to steal an electric pole but when they were crossing the track with the pole, a train came in front of them. Meanwhile, he left the pole on the track and ran away.

The police have denied the conspiracy angle behind the train derailment. They also said that they have no connection with any organization. However, a dozen cases have been registered against Sunny and one case against Bijendra in Bilaspur police station. At present, the accused Sunny and Tinku have been sent to jail.

It is worth noting that on the night of 18th September, a 6 meter long iron pole was found lying on the railway track between Bilaspur and Rudrapur City railway stations. The driver stopped the train by applying emergency brakes, thus averting a major accident.

According to the officer, during interrogation it was found that Sunny and Tinku often went there to drink alcohol. On the day of the incident too, he drank alcohol near the railway track and was stealing an iron pole lying nearby. The ground was uneven and Sunny-Tinku were very drunk. When he was carrying the pole, he heard the sound of the train horn, after which he left the pole there and ran away. His intention was not to overturn the train but his act could have caused a major accident.
