2.34 crore Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries of Uttar Pradesh will get free cooking gas.

The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh, India’s largest and politically most important state, has officially decided to give a huge and unique gift to the people of its state on the auspicious occasion of festivals like Diwali and Holi. In order to raise the standard of living of poor families, women and weaker sections of the society and to ease their kitchen budget, the government has fully implemented its plan of providing free LPG cylinder refill twice a year to all the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. As per the current data, the total number of active card holders of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in Uttar Pradesh has reached approximately 2.34 crores, and the free cylinder subsidy will be delivered directly into the bank accounts of all these beneficiaries or through direct benefit transfer. In this era of inflation, when the price of LPG becomes heavy on the pocket of the common man, then this sensitive step of the government is bringing a smile on the faces of crores of poor women, who are now getting freedom from the smoke of burning stove as well as financial relief.

Approval in cabinet meeting, assistance amount will reach the accounts of beneficiaries in a transparent manner

This proposal was approved in a high level meeting of the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet held in Lucknow recently, after which the administrative department has started its preparations on a war footing. To maintain complete transparency in the implementation of this scheme, it has been ensured that there is no scope for any kind of middleman culture or irregularities, and money is transferred to the accounts of eligible women at the right time. Strict instructions have been given to the district level supply departments and gas agencies to complete 100% verification of all the card holders of the Ujjwala scheme so that no genuine entitlement is deprived of this benefit. This step of the government is not only protecting the health of women, but is also continuously encouraging them to use environment-friendly clean fuel. Political analysts believe that such welfare schemes, directly related to the interests of the general public, further strengthen the grassroots hold of the government and prove that the main focus of governance is the development of the man at the last rung.

Major improvement in health sector: Significant increase in allowances and honorarium of AYUSH interns

Along with this big gift to the beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana, the Uttar Pradesh government has also taken full care of the interests of another important section related to the field of health and education i.e. Ayush Interns. Taking a positive stance on the long pending demand of increasing the honorarium and allowances of intern doctors serving in various Ayurvedic, Unani and Homeopathy medical colleges and hospitals of the state, the government has significantly increased their monthly stipend. Keeping in mind the inflation and expenses of modern medical education, this increased financial assistance to the interns will provide financial support to their daily life and studies. With this decision of the government, thousands of young doctors of the state, who have been providing their loyal services since the Covid period till now, are feeling very excited and they believe that this has given real respect to their hard work. This step of the government to strengthen medical education and health infrastructure is proof that along with promoting traditional medical systems, it is also securing the future of the youth who practice them.

Wave of happiness among general public and youth, future development plans are getting new momentum

Both these major decisions taken by the Uttar Pradesh government—on one hand, free LPG for women and on the other hand, increase in honorarium for youth—have served to send a positive message across the state. When the government simultaneously implements social welfare and employment-oriented and student-friendly decisions, then every section of the society feels that the administration of the state is completely sensitive and active towards their needs. In the coming time, through these schemes, the living standards of crores of families will improve and both rural and urban economies will get equal momentum. Ultimately, these decisions taken under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath prove that the Uttar Pradesh government is moving forward with full determination on its agenda of development and public service, making the future of every citizen of the state more secure and bright.
