189 couples tied the knot in Chief Minister's mass marriage in Kushinagar

Kushinagar, July 15 (HS). Under the Chief Minister's Mass Marriage Scheme, 189 couples of Kushinagar tied the sacred knot of marriage on Monday amidst the sound of Shehnai and Mangal Dhwani. Chief guest Nagar Palika President Kiran Rakesh Jaiswal along with district administration officials and dignitaries blessed the new couples and bid them farewell and wished them a bright future.

The Municipal Chairman provided household items to the newly married couples in a programme organised by the Social Welfare Department in a marriage hall located on Padrauna Road in Kasya. Pt. Achyutanand Tripathi and Pt. Narayan Mishra conducted the programme amidst chanting of Vedic Mantras as per the rituals. A total of 247 couples were registered for the marriage, but 58 couples were absent. In his blessings, the Municipal Chairman said that there is no greater donation than Kanya Daan. The campaign launched by the government to conduct marriages through mass marriages so that daughters do not become a burden for the poor, cannot be praised enough. May the newly married couples live a better and happier life. Also contribute to the development of the society and the country.

On this occasion, Municipal Council Chairman representative Rakesh Jaiswal, DC MNREGA Rakesh Kumar, BDO Ravi Ranjan, Anil Rai, Pradhan Sangh President Akbar Ansari, Naib Tehsildar Shailesh Singh, poet and journalist Dinesh Tiwari etc. also blessed the newly married couples and wished them a bright future. The Social Welfare Officer welcomed the guests. Dr. SK Singh distributed shagun kits to all the newly married couples on behalf of the Health Department. On this occasion, a large number of relatives and family members of the newly married couples were also present.
