17,940 Indians are in danger of deportation
According to ICE data, 17,940 Indians are among the 1.45 million illegal immigrants in the US who are at risk of deportation. Under Trump’s Border Security Agenda, his priority is to deport immigrants living in America without proper documents.

Indian expatriates in long wait for legal process
According to the ICE report, 17,940 Indians have been placed on the list who have received final deportation orders but are not yet in ICE custody. Many of these migrants have faced the legal process for the last three years or more.
The report also states that India is among the 15 countries that the US has accused of not cooperating in the deportation process.
India ranks 13th in illegal entry
According to statistics, in the last 3 years, about 90,000 Indians have been caught illegally entering the US border. Most of these migrants come from states like Punjab, Gujarat, and Andhra Pradesh.
However, most of the migrants on the deportation list are from countries located close to the US border:
- Honduras: 2,61,000 illegal immigrants
- Guatemala: 253,000 illegal immigrants
- China: First in Asia with 37,908 migrants
Overall, India ranks 13th with 17,940 migrants.
