Jodhpur, 20 November (HS). The ticket checking team of the Commerce Department of Jodhpur Railway Division has earned a revenue of Rs 74 lakh 19 thousand 658 in the month of October.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Vikas Kheda said that in October, the ticket checking team of the Commerce Department had fined Rs 59 lakh 1 thousand 811 on 14 thousand 672 cases without tickets, Rs 15 lakh 10 thousand 648 on 3515 cases of irregular tickets, Rs 15 lakh 10 thousand 648 on those traveling without booked luggage. A fine of Rs 7199 was imposed in 14 cases. Thus, a total of 18 thousand 201 cases were registered in the month of October, from which railway revenue of Rs 74 lakh 19 thousand 658 was collected as fine. He told that

He told that in Jodhpur Railway Division, efforts are being made not only to stop unauthorized passengers and irregular activities through ticketless, irregular ticket holders, unbooked luggage etc. but also continuous efforts are being made to earn more income from various income sources. . In future also, the Division will conduct regular intensive ticket checking at railway stations and reserved and unreserved passenger trains.
