In the year 2023, TB-free Gram Panchayat campaign was launched in Ayodhya district under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP), under which TB-free Gram Panchayat was selected. Dr. Sandeep Kumar Shukla, District Tuberculosis Officer said that before declaring the TB freedom of Panchayats, many parameters were checked. In this, testing of 30 potential TB patients per 1000 population, registration of one TB patient per 1000 population, at least 60 percent of the patients should have been tested for drug sensitivity, total TB cases registered last year. 85 percent of the patients should have recovered, etc. parameters were checked.
