Hathras stampede: 121 people died and more than 150 devotees were injured in a stampede during Bhole Baba's satsang held in Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh. Even after 24 hours of the incident, the accused is absconding. Also, Baba Narayan Sakar Hari alias Bholebaba is missing. Apart from this, the main servant and according to the police FIR, the main accused Dev Prakash Madhukar is also absconding.
Permission was taken for the presence of 80 thousand people
The incident happened when Manav Mangal Milan Sadbhavana Samiti had organized a satsang in an open field of 150 bighas in Fullerai village of Sikandrarao area. According to the police FIR, permission was sought for 80 thousand people to attend the program and three times more people i.e. 100 thousand people were asked to attend the program. 2.5 lakh people A crowd of 1000 gathered. Baba Narayan Sakar Hari is missing
The police has no information about where Baba was after the incident. The police have started a search operation in the Ram Kutir Charitable Trust Ashram in Mainpuri. Investigation is going on there. The servants say that false news is being spread that Baba is absconding. Baba is in the ashram. Mainpuri DSP Sunil Kumar Singh says that we did not find Baba in the premises. He is not here.
The matter reached the Supreme Court
A PIL has been filed in the Supreme Court regarding the stampede in Hathras. The petition has requested an investigation by a 5-member expert committee under the supervision of a retired Supreme Court judge. A petition has also been sent to the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court demanding a CBI inquiry.
