Jagdalpur, May 13 (Hindustan Reporter) As per the instructions of the Collector, the District Mineral Investigation Team conducted a surprise inspection of Raikot, Sargipal, Parpa, Kodenar, Bhanpuri and Badanji areas under Bastar district and registered a case against 16 vehicles illegally transporting minor minerals.
Giving information on Monday, Mining Officer Shikhar Cherpa said that during the Mineral Investigation Team inspection, a case has been registered against 16 vehicles carrying out illegal transportation and excavation of minerals and have been kept in police custody. The investigation team has registered a case of illegal transportation of sand by four tipper vehicles, one tractor of soil and bricks, five tippers and six highway vehicles of limestone. Action is being taken as per rules against vehicle owners doing illegal transportation. The action was taken by Mine Inspector Midul Guha, Mine Constable Dikeshwar Khare, Sitaram Netam of the District Mineral Investigation Flying Squad.
