Mumbai: On the occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi, the pilgrimage site has reverberated with the sounds of Bhajans and Kirtans and Arava-Mridang of lakhs of Warkaris who have reached Pandharpur from every corner of the state. 16 lakh Laddus are being arranged to distribute as Prasad to the Warkaris who are flocking with hundreds of Palkis to have the darshan of Vitthal-Rukmani.
Tomorrow, on the occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi, prasad of five lakh laddus will be distributed. Then, as the devotees continue to visit for a few more days, a total of 16 lakh Rajgara laddus will be prepared. The manager of the temple committee said that 11 lakh laddus have been prepared today.
Lakhs of Warkaris have reached Pandharpur with more than a thousand palanquins in Ashadhi Wari (yatra). The scene looks like Kumbh Mela from a distance due to tents and shamianas erected on the banks of the surging Chandrabhaga river. Traffic diversion in Dadar Wadala on the occasion of Ashadhi
Due to the crowd at the ancient Vitthal temple, known as Pratipandharpur, tomorrow on account of Ashadhi Ekadashi, vehicular traffic will be regulated by the traffic police in Wadala. The change in traffic arrangements will be effective from Tuesday evening till 8 am on Thursday.

Under this change, traffic will be closed from Dadar TT to Katrak Road Suji Tilak Road. These vehicles will be diverted from Dadar TT to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Road towards Ruia College Road in the north direction.
Mancherji Joshi Road and Jam-e-Jamshed Road will be closed for north-south traffic between Five Garden Junction and Tilak Junction. Vehicular traffic will be closed from Cuttack Road to David Barretto Circle to G.D. Ambedkar Marg and Tilak Road Junction. G.D. Ambedkar Road will be closed for traffic from Surfers Chowk to northbound traffic.
