15 polling parties of Narendranagar assembly left

New Tehri, 17 April (HIST). In the presence of District Election Officer Mayur Dixit, on Wednesday, 15 polling parties of Narendranagar Assembly Constituency under Garhwal Parliamentary Constituency collected EVMs, VVPAT and election material from the distribution point District Panchayat and left for the polling places. While congratulating the polling parties, the District Election Officer appealed to them to discharge their responsibilities well.

Among the polling parties sent on Wednesday, the polling party of booth 139 Rapravi Talai will reach the polling place by covering the maximum walking distance of 7 km from the main motor road. Booth number 30 Rapravi Kukhui Talli's party will cover a walking distance of 5 km, while other parties will cover a distance of 100 meters to three and a half km.

Apart from this, on April 18, a total of 948 polling parties will leave for their respective polling places from the distribution point, Municipal Council and District Panchayat. These include 159 polling parties of Ghansali (SC) Assembly Constituency under Tehri Garhwal Parliamentary Constituency, 147 of Pratapnagar Assembly Constituency, 153 of Tehri Assembly Constituency and 184 polling parties of Dhanaulti Assembly Constituency as well as Garhwal Parliamentary Constituency. , 148 voting parties of Devprayag Assembly Constituency and 157 voting parties of Narendranagar Assembly Constituency will be included.

Along with these, reserve parties will also leave for polling places. Along with this, election material has been distributed to 948 polling parties of all the 6 assemblies of the district going for voting on 18th April, while the EVMs will be provided from the distribution point on 18th April. 10-10 tables were set up assembly wise for distribution of election material.

Mobile phones will be banned at polling places

District Election Officer DM Mayur Dixit says that it will be prohibited to carry mobile phones during voting at polling booths on the day of voting. During this period, action will be taken against taking selfies and circulating them on social media while voting.

Talking to journalists, the District Election Officer said that the secrecy of voting will not be allowed to be violated during the elections under any circumstances. Everyone has been given strict instructions for this.
