15 people travelling in a Max auto died after colliding with a roadways bus in Hathras, UP | News India

Hathras, 06 September (HS). A roadways bus and a loader tempo collided near Meetai village on Agra Aligarh bypass in Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh on Friday late evening. 15 people lost their lives in this accident and some people are injured. On receiving the information, officials of the district and police administration reached the spot. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the incident and directed the officials to speed up the relief work.

According to the information, a bus of Aligarh depot collided with a loader max tempo on Meetai bypass of Chandapa Kotwali area. Men, women and children were travelling in the tempo, who became victims of the road accident. On getting information about the accident, Superintendent of Police Nipun Agarwal, District Magistrate Ashish Kumar, CO Himanshu Mathur along with the police force reached the spot. Police and fire brigade are engaged in rescue work. The injured were sent to the hospital for treatment. 15 people have died in this accident.

Shan Mohammad, a relative of the deceased, said that all the people travelling in the Max auto were residents of Samra village near Agra Khandauli. Today, 35 people travelling in the Max auto had come to Mukandpur village in Sasni, Hathras to attend the thirteenth day ceremony of a relative who had passed away. While returning, the auto collided head-on with a roadways bus near Chandpa late in the evening. This incident has caused mourning in the village and among the family members of the deceased in Samra village.

Hathras administration has confirmed the death of 15 people in the collision between a roadways bus and a Max auto. He said that while relief work is being carried out, the injured are being given better treatment in the hospital. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for postmortem. Legal action is being taken while investigating the incident.

Chief Minister expressed grief over the incident, gave instructions to the officials

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of the road accident in Hathras district. He expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased. He also directed the district administration officials to immediately take the injured to the hospital and provide them proper treatment. He also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. The Chief Minister directed the district administration officials to reach the spot and expedite the relief work.
