Uttarkashi, May 27 (HS). 15 houses were damaged in a fire in Salra village of Mori, a border development block of Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand on Monday. However, the teams engaged in relief and rescue work have controlled the fire after a lot of hard work. This massive fire has created panic in the village. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed grief over the fire in the village and has directed the relief team to speed up the work.
According to the District Disaster Operation Center, about 15 residential houses have been damaged due to a massive fire in Salra village. On receiving information about the fire, many teams including SDRF, Revenue reached the spot this afternoon and along with the villagers, started extinguishing the fire. After hours of hard work, the fire has been controlled. However, the fire has not been completely extinguished yet.
It is worth noting that immediately after the information from village head Salra on Monday morning, SDRF, police, revenue team left for the spot. Along with the fire brigade team, medical, forest department and veterinary teams were also sent to the spot.
District Magistrate Dr. Meherban Singh Bisht has sought information about the incident from the Sub-District Magistrate Purola and Tehsildar Mori. He has instructed the teams engaged in relief and rescue work to completely extinguish the fire as soon as possible and provide relief to the victims.
