Prayagraj, 24 October (Hindustan Reporter). The 1400 year old tradition of Emperor Harsh Vardhan is becoming the attraction of Mahakumbh for the people coming here from outside Prayagraj. Emperor Harshvardhan is one of the most famous emperors for his donations in Prayagraj during Mahakumbh. During the Kumbh, he used to donate not only money and jewellery, but even his clothes while leaving. This tradition has been started in Prayagraj even before the Mahakumbh on the instructions of the Yogi government.
The government has set up centers at many places in Prayagraj, where people donate their clothes and products, which are distributed among the poor. A large number of people are reaching here from Maharashtra, West Bengal, Rajasthan. A team from various organizations from Maharashtra appreciated the public welfare schemes of the Yogi government after seeing the clothes being distributed to the poor.

Anupam Parihar, editor of the country's first Hindi monthly magazine Saraswati, mentions the book of a Chinese traveler who came to India in the seventh century. Parihar says that the enthusiasm for Kumbh has been visible in India since ancient times. Emperor Harshavardhana used to celebrate this biggest religious event in India during the seventh century. It is said about him that he used to come to Prayag and donate the money collected over the years. Even such a big ceremony was carried on for about 75 days. While leaving from here, Emperor Harshvardhan would give everything he had to the local people. It is said that Harshvardhan used to donate even his clothes here. This tradition of the Emperor's time has also started in Prayagraj on the initiative of Yogi Adityanath's government. Where people donate voluntarily and the needy take the things they need from there.

Not only this, to satisfy his curiosity about the ancient texts of India, he asked for the oldest manuscripts of India as a donation from the emperor. Anupam Parihar tells that after this, during the Mahakumbh, Whensong went to China with a donation of about six hundred and fifty Indian manuscripts and went there and described India along with the mention of the Mahakumbh in his book.
