Ayodhya, 9 November (Hindustan Reporter). There is a lot of enthusiasm among the devotees to perform 14 Kosi Parikrama for the first time after the consecration of Ram Lalla in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. This is the reason why lakhs of devotees reached Ayodhya even before the date. Started the parikrama at 6.32 pm on Saturday evening. It will continue till 4:44 pm on Sunday afternoon as per the auspicious time the next day.
Lakhs of devotees reach here and circumambulate with Ramnam Sankirtan and folk songs. The Yogi government had a special focus on this, that there should be proper arrangements for their health and safety along with cleanliness and parikrama. Strict security arrangements have been made under the supervision of drone cameras. A flood of barefoot devotees carrying bundles of faith on their heads has started appearing on the parikrama route. In view of the large number of devotees, tight security arrangements have been made. A large number of male and female police personnel along with security personnel in plain clothes have been deployed on the parikrama routes. Along with this, the entire fair is being monitored through drones. The parikrama will start under the supervision of ATS. There are security arrangements on the parikrama path at particularly crowded places.
This time more devotees are expected to turn up for the Kartik Parikrama fair that started in Ayodhya. Keeping in view the facilities of the devotees, sand has been spread on the parikrama path under construction, working on a war footing, so that the circumambulators walking barefoot do not have to face any problem. Lost and found camps have been set up at various places.
12 temporary camps have been set up to take care of health
12 temporary first aid centers have been set up for the 14 Kosi Parikrama. These include Hanuman Cave, Mouni Baba, Halkara Purva, Darshannagar, Achari Ka Sagra, Janora, Sahadatganj Hanumangarhi, Guptarghat, Opium Kothi, Amaniganj, Chakratirath and Jhunki Ghat. Ambulances have been deployed at 14 places. During the entire Kartik Purnima fair, 20 beds each have been reserved in the Medical College and District Hospital and 10 in Shri Ram Hospital.
Special focus on safety, cleanliness and resources
The Yogi government has given special instructions to the administration to ensure that no devotee faces any problem during the parikrama. The administration is also providing security, cleanliness and basic resources. The district administration claims that the entire Parikrama Mela will be conducted without any inconvenience to the visiting devotees. Here, Mayor Girishpati Tripathi, MLA Ved Prakash Gupta, Divisional Commissioner Gaurav Dayal, IG Praveen Kumar, District Magistrate Chandra Vijay Singh, SSP Rajkaran Nair etc. were seen inspecting the 14 Kosi Parikrama to be completed safely.
What is religious belief?
There is a religious belief that by completing 14 Kosi Parikrama i.e. 42 kilometer parikrama, one gets the virtue of seven births. The very ancient and historical Parikrama is organized even today according to its tradition.
