13000 trains will run in Mahakumbh, 20 lakh devotees will visit daily, Railway Minister inspected

Apart from the main station Prayagraj Junction, there are eight small and big railway stations which have been rebuilt. New footover bridges have been built at these railway stations. These stations have been painted. Apart from this, the area for parking facilities around the stations has also been increased. Along with this, a permanent holding area has also been created.

20 lakh devotees will come every day

The biggest challenge for Railways in Mahakumbh will be security arrangements. Keeping this in mind, the crowd of 20 lakh coming to the railway stations in a day will be monitored through CCTV cameras. For this, 1313 CCTV cameras have been installed. RPF personnel will keep a close watch on every person entering the railway station. Apart from this, major intersections around the stations are also being monitored through CCTV cameras. This control room will be directly connected to the district control room.

13 thousand trains were prepared

Meanwhile, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, ‘Preparations for Mahakumbh 2025 are being done for the last two and a half years under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath. In the last two years, Rs 5000 crore has been invested in related works. Regular review of preparations for Mahakumbh 2025 is going on for the last two and a half years. 3000 special trains will be run to serve the devotees on the way. For this, about 10 thousand regular trains will be run. A total of 13 thousand trains have been prepared for Mahakumbh 2025.
