Rain in Saurashtra: Due to the simultaneous activation of 3-3 rain systems in Gujarat, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in various parts till next 22 July. For the last two days, Meghraja has been batting fiercely in Saurashtra and South Gujarat. However, since last night, Meghraja has called Baghdati and has systematically troubled the districts of Saurashtra including Dwarka, Porbandar and Junagadh. Heavy rains have disrupted life here.

If we look at the rainfall data today, 112 talukas of the state received rainfall from 6 am to 8 pm. Out of which, the maximum rainfall of 13 inches was recorded in Dwarka of Devbhoomi-Dwarka district. Apart from this, 8.5 inches of rain was recorded in Porbandar, 8.5 inches in Keshod of Junagadh, 7.5 inches in Vanthali and 6.5 inches in Umargam of Valsad district of South Gujarat.

Today, 37 talukas received more than 1 inch of rain, 22 talukas received more than 2 inches, 16 talukas received more than 3 inches and 8 talukas received more than 4 inches of rain. It is reported that due to heavy rains, power supply has been disrupted in 359 villages of Saurashtra.

If we look at the rainfall data from 6 pm to 8 pm, then during these two hours, 31 talukas of the state received rain. The maximum of which is 30 mm. Khabakyo is in Dwarka taluka. Apart from this, 16 mm of rain has occurred in Mundra of Kutch.

In Devbhoomi Dwarka district, Kalyanpur taluka received the highest rainfall of 16 inches and Bhanvad taluka received 5 inches of rain in the last 36 hours. Due to heavy rains, normal life was affected and rescue operations were carried out by the district administration.

The district administration is on alert in low-lying areas and rescue operations have been launched to keep citizens alert due to the forecast of heavy to very heavy rainfall.

If we look at the condition of dams in Devbhoomi Dwarka district, a total of 4 dams namely Singhani Irrigation Scheme, Kandorana Irrigation Scheme, Mahadeviya Irrigation Scheme, Singhan Nani Irrigation Scheme are 100% filled. Whereas 80% new revenue has been received from Vartu-1 Irrigation Scheme, Kabarka Irrigation Scheme, Sonamti Irrigation Scheme and Shedha Bhadathari Irrigation Scheme.

In Devbhoomi Dwarka district, 3 roads of the Road Construction Department State and 7 roads of the Road and Building Department Panchayat are currently closed due to water flow.

Railway services in Porbandar have been disrupted due to flooding in the Porbandar-Kanalus section due to heavy rains
trains running from Porbandar have been cancelled so far. While some trains have been rescheduled.

Junagadh
Due to heavy rains, the water has filled up and the Sonarakh river has reached Ghorapur. When there is a flood in Damodar Kund. Due to this water-bombing, life in the entire area has been badly affected. Apart from this, life has been disrupted due to heavy rains in Malia Hatin taluka area of ​​the district.
