12 years jail and 1 lakh rupees fine to a person caught with narcotic pills | News India

Fatehgarh Sahib: GT was arrested by the police of Nabipur Chowki in April 2021. Motorcyclist Rajesh Kumar alias Raju, resident of Khanna, who was caught with a huge amount of narcotic pills during the blockade, has been sentenced to 12 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1 lakh by the court here.

It is worth mentioning that on 21 April 2021, during a blockade near Jalvedi Gehlan T-point on GT Road, when the police party of Nabipur Chowk stopped Rajesh Kumar alias Raju coming on a motorcycle for checking, he was shocked to see the police. In the presence of the police, the envelope with the said person was searched and 1400 tablets of Tramadol Hydrochloride and 1600 tablets of Alprazolam were recovered from it. After the hearing of the case was completed, the special court of Fatehgarh Sahib ordered Rajesh Kumar alias Raju resident Khanna in the case under 22 (C) NDPS. He has been sentenced to 12 years imprisonment under this law.
