Today, on the auspicious occasion of the 114th birth anniversary of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and great freedom fighter Babu Banarasi Das ji, many dignified programs related to service and public welfare were organized in the city of Nawabs, Lucknow. Remembering Babu Banarasi Das ji, who was a symbol of simplicity and purity in politics, huge free health camps were organized today for the needy section of the society.

Extensive arrangements were made for free eye check-up, spectacle distribution, dental check-up and general health check-up for the citizens who came to the camp.
Both these camps operated with full activity from 10 am to 5 pm. Hundreds of people and elderly people from the city and surrounding rural areas reached these camps and took full advantage of modern medical services and advice from expert doctors.

The main function of the birth anniversary was organized at the historical Vikramaditya Kothi. Many dignitaries from the political, social and administrative world of Uttar Pradesh participated in this tribute meeting. All the present guests, while paying floral tributes to the portrait of Babu Banarasi Das ji, remembered with utmost respect his historical contribution towards the independence of the country and the development of Uttar Pradesh and nation building.
