South 24 Parganas, 01 August (HS). On Thursday, amid heavy rains in West Bengal, 11 teachers of Vidyasagar Vidya Mandir located in Jharkhali Herowanga area under Canning police station in South 24 Parganas district were injured in a road accident.
According to the information received, the accident happened when all the teachers were returning from school.
According to local sources, all the teachers were returning to Canning in a magic van on Thursday, when the van overturned in Kali Battala area. Locals rushed the injured to Canning Sub-Divisional Hospital where three teachers were shifted to Kolkata as their condition was critical. Meanwhile, on receiving the news of the accident, the police of Canning police station reached the hospital. The police personnel talked to the injured and got information about how the whole incident happened.
