11 January 2025 – Alert of winter storm, rain, snowfall and cold day

The cold wave is not showing any signs of stopping in North India. Strong winds, snowfall and dense fog have severely affected normal life. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), due to the activity of western disturbance between January 10 and 12, thunderstorms, rain and hailstorm are expected in many states. Delhi-NCR weather

Dense fog continues to wreak havoc in Delhi and NCR. Road, rail and air traffic is being affected due to extremely low visibility.

Temperature condition:

  • Minimum Temperature: 9.6°C
  • Maximum Temperature: 6°C to 20°C
    The minimum temperature is expected to drop further on Saturday, January 11.

Pollution situation:

  • of Delhi AQI 408 Is in serious category.
  • Noida’s AQI is 328 and Greater Noida’s AQI is 295 in the ‘very poor’ and ‘poor’ categories.
    Dense fog and poor air quality have adversely affected people’s health.

Uttar Pradesh weather

An alert of dense fog and rain has been issued in Uttar Pradesh.

  • Fog continues in Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Agra and Meerut.

Weather of Punjab and Haryana

Punjab:

  • Cold wave and dense fog continues to affect cities like Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala and Bathinda.

Haryana:

Due to western disturbance, there may be rain and hailstorm in many districts of Rajasthan on January 10 and 11.
