11 January 2025 – Alert of winter storm, rain, snowfall and cold day

The cold wave is not showing any signs of stopping in North India. Strong winds, snowfall and dense fog have severely affected normal life. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), due to the activity of western disturbance between January 10 and 12, thunderstorms, rain and hailstorm are expected in many states. Snowfall in the hilly areas has further increased the cold in the plains. Let us know how the weather will be in different parts of the country.

Delhi-NCR weather

Dense fog continues to wreak havoc in Delhi and NCR. Road, rail and air traffic is being affected due to extremely low visibility.

Temperature condition:

• Minimum Temperature: 9.6°C
• Maximum Temperature: 6°C to 20°C
  The minimum temperature is expected to drop further on Saturday, January 11.

Pollution situation:

• of Delhi AQI 408 Is in serious category.
• Noida’s AQI is 328 and Greater Noida’s AQI is 295 in the ‘very poor’ and ‘poor’ categories.
  Dense fog and poor air quality have adversely affected people’s health.

Uttar Pradesh weather

An alert of dense fog and rain has been issued in Uttar Pradesh.

• Fog continues in Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Agra and Meerut.
• There is heavy fog on the banks of river Ganga and Varuna.
• There is a possibility of rain and light hailstorm in many districts on January 12.

• Maximum Temperature: An increase of 2-3°C is possible.
• Minimum Temperature: Drop by 2-3°C in next four days.

Weather of Punjab and Haryana

Punjab:

• Cold wave and dense fog continues to affect cities like Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala and Bathinda.
• in amritsar Minimum temperature 2.4°C were recorded.
• Light rain and hailstorm is expected between January 10 and 12.

Haryana:

• A blanket of fog is spread in districts like Ambala, Rohtak and Hisar.
• Minimum temperature in Narnaul 3°C Has fallen till.

Rajasthan weather

Due to western disturbance, there may be rain and hailstorm in many districts of Rajasthan on January 10 and 11.

• Jodhpur, Bikaner and Shekhawati Light rain forecast in the area.
• The weather will become dry from January 12, but the temperature will continue to drop.

Bihar weather

Cold winds and fog have increased the chill in Bihar.

Light to moderate rain is expected in districts like Buxar, Rohtas and Aurangabad on January 12.

Mumbai and Maharashtra weather

The effect of cold is also being felt in Nagpur, Pune and Mumbai of Maharashtra.

Himachal Pradesh:

• Chance of light to moderate rain in Dehradun and Nainital.
• The temperature will drop further due to snowfall in high altitude areas.

1. Minimum Temperature: 10°C or less.
2. Maximum Temperature: Be at least 4.5°C below normal.
