11 aspirational district stations of West Central Railway are being developed

Jabalpur, 4 December (Hindustan Reporter). Ministry of Railways has launched ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme’ for development of railway stations on Indian Railways. The plan envisages development of stations on a sustained basis with a long-term approach. This involves preparation of master plans keeping in mind the requirement at each station and implementing them in phases, so as to improve the facilities at the stations, such as improving station access, circulation areas, waiting rooms, toilets, lifts, escalators as required. Cleaning of platform surfaces and platform coverings, cleanliness, free Wi-Fi, kiosks for local products through schemes like ‘One Station One Product’, improved passenger information system, executive lounges, designated spaces for business meetings, Landscaping etc. The plan includes building improvements, integration of the station on both sides of the city, multimodal integration, facilities for persons with disabilities, sustainable and eco-friendly solutions, provision of ballast free tracks as per requirement, etc. in a phased manner and feasibility and construction of a city center at the station in the long term. Is included.

So far, 1337 stations have been identified under this scheme on Indian Railways, which includes 157 stations falling in aspirational districts. In this, the number of railway stations of aspirational districts under West Central Railway is 11 which includes Baran, Bargawan, Biyavra Rajgarh, Chhabra Gugor, Damoh, Ganjbasoda, Guna, Hindaun City, Ruthiyai and Shri Mahavirji Railway Stations.
